When we sit down together, you're the only client I'm thinking about.
Wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney — explained in plain English, at your pace, by the person who sees it through.
Most people don't put this off because they don't care.
They put it off because nobody has ever explained it in language that makes sense. The forms look intimidating. The words are unfamiliar. And there's a quiet worry that you'll be made to feel foolish for asking a basic question.
That's the bit I fix first.
I'll talk you through what matters in your situation and — just as importantly — what doesn't. Plain English, no assumed knowledge, no rush. By the end you'll understand your own plan well enough to explain it to someone else. That's the standard I hold myself to.
A Will on its own isn't always the whole answer.
Depending on your circumstances, there may be more to think about: what happens if you lose capacity during your lifetime, how a property is owned, whether a trust would protect something you care about, or what your family will face when the time comes.
You may need all of it. You may need none of it. You'll get a straight answer either way — including when the answer is "you don't need to spend money on that."
